Brittany Phillips took the helm at Dixie in July 2024 with more than 16 years of experience in education and dedicated service to Fayette County Public Schools. Previously, she was assistant principal at Ashland Elementary since 2019.
Phillips joined FCPS as a long-term substitute at Clays Mill Elementary, followed by a three-year tenure teaching third grade at Dixie. In 2011, she joined Wellington Elementary, where she taught third grade for four years before transitioning to kindergarten for three years. In 2018, Phillips took on the role of MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Supports) and PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) lead, along with serving as an intervention teacher for grades K-5.
Phillips holds a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of Kentucky, a master’s degree in Teacher Leadership from Asbury University, and a Rank I certification, including principal certification, from the University of Kentucky.
